Electrical work at Vindolanda
PKE are pleased to announce that they have been selected by Border Construction to undertake the M & E work (£450k) at Vindolanda Visitor Centre. Funding from Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) of nearly £4 million has been given to the Vindolanda Trust to transform the central section of the Hadrian’s Wall world heritage site in Northumberland.
Ghyll Bank
Working as sub contractor to Story’s, PKE are carrying out the M & E work at the new Gypsy Camp at Ghyll Bank, Harker, nr. Carlisle. This is an interesting project as it incorporates solar energy panels, which are of obvious benefit to the environment. The £1.96m site, which is to open spring 2010 will have 15 pitches. Each plot contains an amenity block and space for parking.
